Having visited this property for the past two years and having re-booked for this year I have nothing but praise for it. The apartment is perfectly self contained and has everything you could want in a self catering apartment. It has a kitchen dining and living area, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a well appointed patio that has sunlight from early morning to late in the afternoon. From your patio you can step through the gate and you are next to the pool if it gets too hot. We have found the people in the apartments around us always friendly and warm and get on well with them.

The apartment itself is just a few minutes walk from the shops and about twenty minutes walk into the town of Santiago de la Riberia. It is a quiet seaside town that has all the shops restaurants and bars that you would want and also very good beaches that do not get overcrowded. A perfect place for a young family to go on holiday or if you are looking for something away from the normal Spanish holiday experience.

The information provided before our visits has been exceptional with personal recommendations from the owners regarding Car Hire, Travel etc. Nothing is too much trouble.

Looking forward to our visit in August

Apartment has everything you could ask for and is very homely
The complex was quiet when we went in Sept & May times which was just what we wanted. We've been 4 times in 3 years and will go again.

The area is quiet & mainly Spanish so you know you're abroad but you don't have to speak much Spanish yourself.
Nothing's been too much trouble - John & Sue do everything they can to make sure your holiday is a success
Airport is just 10 mins away plus the option of door to door transport is a boon.
Weather fantastic when we've been, so if it's sun sea & sand you want then this this is for you

On our trip in June 2009 we found the apartment to be wonderfully spacious, and great value even though we were underoccupying the flat with only 2 of us staying. We found it to be very well maintained and very clean. The kitchen was exceptionally well provided with cooking facilities so on the nights we didn't feel like going to a restaurant we could easily make our own meals. The pool was a little chilly in June but would be a wonderful place to relax by a little later on in the season. The complex was friendly without being too noisy. We certainly found that the best restaurants in terms of food, value and choice were to be found down by the beach, with wonderful fresh fish on the menu daily. We also found we spent most of our days by the beach as the sea was very warm and calm, with the beachfront being fairly uncrowded. We had a wonderful time, and I would imagine it would be a perfect place to take a family if you want a relaxing, sunny holiday. The booking process was made so simple by John and Sue, and the information and maps provided before we arrived was so useful. Overall it was a wonderfully relaxing holiday and I would be happy to book again in future.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable with lots of crockery e.g. containers for picnics.  We went out of the main season, (April) so we were not competing with hordes of tourists.  We did a lot of exploring with a hire car which was great. The complex was very quiet when we went, which suited us, as we no longer have children on holiday with us. The town is a traditional Spanish town, with lots of restaurants serving typical spanish food.
John was so supportive and we never wanted for any additional information.

The apartment was clean and tidy and had everything that was needed for an enjoyable holiday. The complex was safe and clean & well tended with locking gates at each end. The town was approx 10 mins walk away with plenty of restaurants and a good bus service at reasonable prices to Cartagena & Murcia. An open market on the Wednesday sold vegetables etc & cooked chickens which were excellent value. We have visited the apartment twice, firstly at the end of March, not everything was open but the weather was good, some bars on the seafront were open and the ferry across the Mar Menor was working. We also visited at the end of September, everything was open, although not overcrowded. The people on the complex were friendly and Mark - the property manager for the apartment - was on call for lifts etc to the nearby shopping Mall, airport trips and any other trips that you would like for a fee, although we didn’t take advantage of this. The booking process was very easy and the information given  re: the area, maps etc was excellent. There can be a lot of walking involved if you haven’t got a car but to us that was part of the holiday; with the exercise, fresh air & sunshine

We visited the apartment in early June 09, for a quiet relaxing week away. We found it had everything we needed; it was very clean, and well equipped, and although there were only two of us, it would still be very spacious with four people. It’s like home from home, even down to the great assortment of books and DVD’s.

The town was relatively quiet while we were there, not all the bars and restaurants were open, but still plenty of places to eat and drink, and because it’s a traditional Spanish town the prices were very reasonable.

The complex is a small, gated community, which was mainly occupied with regulars, who were very friendly and full of local information. The apartment patio is a real sun trap, and is equipped with outside furniture and a George Foreman grill, which was great for barbeques in the evening sun. The pool is just outside the apartment back gate, and was always kept very clean and bug free! There are two supermarkets close by, and a shopping mall about 10 minutes drive away.

The local market was fantastic, and had everything from fresh produce to unusual French clothes – my idea of heaven!

The apartment is only 10 minutes from the local airport and armed with the photographic instructions John had given us we arrived stress free, never having got lost! The information that John gave us before our holiday, coupled with that in the apartment, was brilliant, even down to the colour coded keys, which were a godsend, as due to arriving at 3am ( because of flight delays) no-one was around to ask anything.

Overall a great holiday and we hope to go back soon.

We had a wonderful time in your apartment, the welcome pack was a lovely
surprise and much appreciated after a day of travelling.. it helped us to
settle in to the Spanish way of life very quickly!! The apartment is really
well kept, spacious and welcoming.  The info pack with local restaurants etc
was very useful.  The beach was great and the calm Mar Menor was a dream.
the boys loved a bit of snorkelling in the calm waters.  It was surprisingly
quiet for August.  Thanks again for letting us stay, we'd love to visit
again in the future.

On arrival of the apartment we found it to be very clean and comfortable. All the amenities were readily available from the washing machine to the cutlery and crockery. The rooms were spacious and adapted very well to all of our needs. The local area was quaint but had all the facilities needed to have a successful holiday. The beach was close by with excellent access and egress for pushchairs. Local restaurants were varied which gave plenty of choice for the week. The weather for the week in May was hot which was a major bonus. The airport to apartment transfer was excellent and the transfer was only 10 minutes. The whole holiday was a huge success and our granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed her first holiday abroad.

A big thank you to John for the information and support prior to our holiday. Definitely would book again.

We had a lovely break in your apartment - probably one of the nicest apartments we have stayed in and certainly the best appointed. The welcome pack was superb and kept us going pretty much all week. When we finally ran out we visited the local supermarket.

We found your directions very useful - got to the apartment without any problems. Visited Cartagena, Murcia and La Manga. Weather very good except for one day when it rained - but we chilled out and read and watched the TV that day. Visited the Big House restaurant twice and got a free bottle of wine each time.

We wanted to relax and we certainly did that!

Many thanks.

This was our first visit to Santiago de la Ribera and we really enjoyed our stay.  John and Sue’s apartment is wonderful, beautifully decorated and maintained, with a well equipped kitchen.  We hired bikes to explore the area and really enjoyed our trip to the “mud baths” and the “sand dunes”. We would definitely come back to the apartment as there is so much more to explore within the region.

A super, spacious apartment on a quiet, small and very friendly complex with a lovely pool. In (HOT) August air conditioning was great to have but we preferred the ceiling fans (which are in every room) and fresh air! Absolutely everything we wanted was there – including pool inflatables, umbrellas and beach chairs. John’s information and efficiency made it all very easy and the helpful apartment manager was a phone call away. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise too. It was the most wonderfully relaxing, stress free holiday we have had in years.

The town feels properly Spanish, with some good restaurants and a nice feel to it.  It was busy at night with a pleasant family atmosphere. We caught a festival/ procession on our last night which was superb. If you like Karaoke and lots of English bars, this is not the place for you but if you want a relaxing experience in a lovely little Spanish resort with plenty to do in the surrounding area, I highly recommend it.

Thanks John and Sue.

We can’t recommend this apartment enough, well maintained, well equipped and spacious. This was our third visit. October is ideal for a quiet and relaxing break. Even at this time of the year the weather is still in the mid-twenties. We hired a car to explore the surrounding area which has a number of beautiful natural parks all within easy reach. For eating out we can particularly recommend the restaurants on the seafront serving delicious fresh fish. We are already looking forward to a future visit!
